EPISODE THREE
The wind is picking up on the welsh shoreline, but Steven has a plan. He makes his way across the jagged coastline and finds a spot where a fire shouldn’t be possible, but it's here that he takes the audience through the incredible technique of creating fire from scratch.
Then its over to Ed, back in ancient woodland he leads the audience on a journey back in time as he recalls tales of using his hand drill technique to create fire in some of the most inhospitable environments on the planet.
If human rewilding involves interacting with the natural world, then making fire using sticks is far more than a mere practical skill - it’s a gateway to another way of living.
Steven and Ed gather together as the sun is setting, create simple self-sustaining Swedish fire logs and laugh about the weird and wonderful experiences they have had over the years around a campfire.
